விண்வெளிக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ள முதல் மனித உருவம் கொண்ட ரோபோட், தனது முதல் வார்த்தையை பதிவு செய்தது. ஜப்பானால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட கிரோபோ என்ற ரோபோட், தனது முதல் வார்த்தையை விண்வெளியில் பதிவு செய்து புதிய வரலாற்று சாதனை படைத்தது. அகன்ற கண்களுடன் பெரிய காதுகளையும் கொண்ட இந்த ரோபோட், விண்வெளியில் இருந்த படியே பூமியில் வசிக்கும் மனிதர்களுக்கு காலை வணக்கம் தெரிவித்தது. இந்த ரோபோட்டின் பேச்சு வீடியோ மூலம் ஒளிபரப்பு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. முதலில் ஜப்பான் மொழியில் பேசத் தொடங்கிய போது, பூமியில் உள்ள அனைவருக்கும் குட்மார்னிங், நான் தான் கிரோபோ, நான் தான் உலகின் முதல் விண்வெளி ரோபோட் வீரர் என்று தெரிவித்தது. இதற்கு முன்னதாக நிலவில் காலடி எடுத்து வைத்த முதல் மனிதரான நீல் ஆம்ஸ்டிராங்குக்கும் அஞ்சலி செலுத்தியது. கடந்த மாதம் 4ம் திகதி பூமியை விட்டு கிளம்பிய ரோபோட்டின் உயரம் 34 சென்டிமீற்றர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. Robo-astronaut Kirobo utters first words in space A pint-sized android has uttered the first robotic words in space, showcasing Japan's drive to combine cutting-edge technology with cuteness. The wide-eyed and bootie-wearing "Kirobo" - roughly the size of a chihuahua - broadcast a message from inside the International Space Station, greeting citizens of Earth and paying cheeky tribute to Neil Armstrong. "On August 21, 2013, a robot took one small step toward a brighter future for all," Kirobo said in a video that showed the humanoid creation drifting weightlessly on-board the ISS, as it moved its legs in the air. The images made their global debut on Wednesday as part of Tokyo's bid for the 2020 Games during a presentation ahead of a meeting of the International Olympic Committee in Buenos Aires which will decide the host city. "Good morning to everyone on Earth. This is Kirobo. I am the world's first talking robot astronaut. Nice to meet you," it said in Japanese. The humanoid was created jointly by advertising firm Dentsu, the University of Tokyo, robot developer Robo Garage and Toyota. The robot stands just 34 centimetres (13.4 inches) tall and weighs about one kilogram (2.2 pounds). It left Earth on August 4 on a cargo-carrying rocket that was also delivering supplies to the ISS. Kirobo is programmed to communicate in Japanese and keep records of its conversations with Koichi Wakata, the first Japanese astronaut to command the ISS. The robot is part of a study aimed at seeing how a non-human companion can provide emotional support for people isolated over long periods.

Attitude and self confidence

 

A Businessman was deep in debt and could not see any way out.

Creditors and Suppliers were demanding payments. He sat in the park, deep in thought, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.

Suddenly an old man appeared before him and asked,
"I can see that something is troubling you seriously".

After listening patiently the old man said,
"I believe I can help you".

He asked the man his name, wrote out a cheque and put it into his hands saying,

"Take this money, meet me here exactly one year from today... and you can pay me back at that time".

Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.


The businessman saw in his hands a cheque for $ 500,000... signed by Warren Buffet, one of the richest men in the world.

"I can erase my worries instantly" he realized.

But instead, the man decided to put the uncashed cheque in his safe, knowing that it might give him the strength to work out to save his business and to use this only in case of dire emergency.

With changed thinking he negotiated better deals,restructured his business and worked rigorously with full zeal and enthusiasm and got several big deals.

Within few months, he was out of debt and started making money once again.

Exactly one year later he returned to the park with the uncashed cheque.

As agreed, the old man appeared.

But just as the businessman was about to hand him back the cheque and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.

"I’m so glad I caught him" she cried.

"I hope he hasn’t been bothering you much.

"He always escapes from the mental hospital and tells people that he is Warren Buffet", saying this she took the old man away.

The surprised man just stood there, stunned! All year long he had been dealing thinking that he had half a million dollars behind him...

Its not the money, real or imagined that turns our life around.

It is our Self-confidence that gives us the power to achieve anything & everything that we want.
